Filming a Piece to Camera for a Speaker Showreel
Showreels are essentially a stepping stone between someone looking for a speaker- to having awareness and an understanding of who you are, what you do, and the benefits of booking you. All of this needs to be achieved in a short space of time- ideally under 90 seconds.
Longer “Extended” showreels can be put together for clients close to booking- and looking to get a bit more info on you before committing to purchase.
The trick is to get people to watch through to the end- so the showreel content needs to be relevant to whoever is watching, and visually engaging. This is done through variety- and the best showreels have a combination of the following elements to achieve this.

Piece to Camera/ Elevator Pitch
You can include an “elevator pitch” of yourself speaking to camera, describing what you do- and benefits to audiences and bookers.
The first few seconds is shown on the showreel, with the rest used as a voiceover. This is typically cut between clips and shots of you speaking at events.
We can visit you and record this with professional studio lighting and autocue if needed- or you can visit one of our studio locations in Bristol or Winchester
Animated Testimonials
Testimonials from clients demonstrate credibility and experience. These can be recorded at events- or text can be used to create animated testimonials. These can easily be copied off your Linkedin or Google reviews, and animated in your branding to provide extra variety- and credibility- in your showreel
Logo Board
A logo board is a quick way to show viewers the clients you have worked with- this adds credibility to the showreel and reassurance for corporate clients that you have the right kind of experience.

Stock Footage
Stock footage is ideal for increasing the showreel quality, adding variety and complimenting what you are saying in the voiceover or in stage clips
Pop-up text
A great way to add emphasis to key words or phrases- and increase the production level to a premium level
Animated Logo
We can animate your logo, which can be used in both your showreel- and all following video content. It ups the production quality, and gives the showreel a more “expensive” feel, suitable for showing higher paying clients
Additional Speaking Footage
We hold regular “Showreel Sessions”- made up of speaker showcase slots in front of a live audience, from which we capture footage and photography for showreels.

We offer flexible rates to suit all budgets- the basic rate covers standard editing from all footage that you send. We can provide a Dropbox/ Onedrive/ Wetransfer folder to drop your raw assets into- and we do the rest.
